How to Change MS Word to Formal


1. Launch the Microsoft Word application by going to the Programs menu or the Applications folder.
2. Open 'Preferences' in the Word menu and select 'Spelling and Grammar.'
3. Set the writing preferences to 'Formal' using the pull down menu under 'Grammar.'
4. Recheck the current document using the formal setting by pressing the 'Recheck Document' button. Press 'Okay' to close the window and save the change.
