How to Print an Envelope in Open Office


1. Open the Writer program in Open Office and open a new text document. This is done by going to File : New : Text Document.
2. Go to Insert : Envelope. This will open up the envelope wizard.
3. Click the tab that says "format" and select the size of envelope that you wish to print. The correct sizes for the other selections will automatically adjust based on the size envelope that you choose.
4. Click on the tab that says "Envelope" and click anywhere within the address dialog box to input the information that you want to print. If you want a return address listed on the envelop, check the box next to the word "sender" and fill in your information. If this box is unchecked, them the letter will not have a return address on it.
5. Click on the "Printer" tab next and select the orientation for your envelop in the printer. Your default printer will be listed at the bottom of the box. You can click on "settings" to configure it, if necessary.
6. Click "new doc" to create a new document with an image of how your envelope will print. Insert the envelop in your printer and click File : Print in Open Office Writer.
