How to Align a Table Horizontally in Microsoft Word

1. Start Microsoft Word and open an existing table from your files or create one in a new document.
2. Switch to Print Layout view by selecting the 'View' menu and then 'Print Layout.' If the Print Layout option is highlighted then you are currently in the Print Layout view.
3. Move your mouse pointer to the top left corner of your table until you see a four-headed arrow surround by a box. This is the called the table move handle.
4. Click on the table move handle so you can select the table.
5. Go up to the 'Table' menu and select 'Table Properties.' This will bring up the 'Table Properties' dialog box. If necessary, click the 'Table' tab.
6. Select either 'Left,' 'Center' or 'Right' from the alignment options.
7. Use the mouse to click the 'OK' button on the 'Table Properties' dialog box to close the box and align your table horizontally.
