How to Create Your Logo in Microsoft Word
How to create a simple logo in Microsoft Word 2007
1. Click the 'Insert' tab, then click the 'Clip Art' button, which is located in the Illustrations group. This will bring up a menu for you to browse different pictures. Choose a picture that will coincide with your logo choice. What you are doing here is laying down your back image.
2. Click on the 'Format' tab that's located in the Arrange group. Click 'Position' and choose the option, 'In front of text.' This will put your picture in the utmost front layer or 'float' it over the text. At this point, you are able to re-size it as necessary to fit your logo size.
3. Click on the 'Insert' tab and locate the Text group, then select the WordArt style you wish to use. Under the WordArt tools, click the 'Format' tab to enable you to manipulate your WordArt. Also, manipulate your WordArt elsewhere on the page, away from your Clip Art, until you are satisfied with it.
4. Select the Clip Art and using the Format tab, change the position again. This time, choose the 'Behind text' option so that your WordArt will be visible in front of your Clip Art. You can still adjust either layer as you see fit.
5. Select both layers after you have made all your final changes. This can be done by holding down the shift button, and clicking each item once. Then before clicking anything else, right click on your mouse and select 'Group.' Your logo is now complete! Print or use at your discretion.
