How to Create a Fill in the Blank Document on Word Without the Underline Moving When You Type


1. Open the document you want to create fill-in-the-blank forms for.
2. Click 'File' in Word and then click 'Word Options.' A window opens.
3. Click 'Customize Ribbon' on the left side of the window.
4. Click the box next to 'Developer' in the right column to place a check and enable the tab. This tab includes the toolbar to insert fill-in-the-blank forms.
5. Click 'OK.'
6. Place your cursor where you want to insert a fill-in-the-blank field.
7. Click the 'Developer' tab, which now appears above the Ribbon.
8. Click the blue 'Aa' button in the Ribbon to insert the fill-in-the-blank box.
