How to Get Microsoft Word On a Laptop Without a CD

1. Open your Web browser on your computer and go to the Microsoft Office website (see Resources).
2. Click on 'Buy Office.'
3. Scroll down the page and select the 'Full Product' link underneath the 'Word' title heading. Your shopping cart containing the downloadable version of Word will appear.
4. Click the 'Continue' button. Sign in with your email address and password if you already have a Microsoft account. Otherwise, click 'Sign Up for a New Account' and enter your billing information and credit card number.
5. Continue with the checkout process until you reach the order confirmation page. Click 'Continue,' then download the software according to the directions provided.
