How to Electronically Sign a Word Document


1. Create and save a digital copy of your signature using one of the following methods:1) Use your finger to draw your signature on a touch sensitive mobile device. This can be done in an application such as Fountain Pen. Send the image to your computer.2) Sign your name to a white sheet of paper using a pen. Take a picture of the paper with your digital camera. Send the image to your computer.3) Open a graphics software application such as MS Paint. Use the mouse to draw your signature on the screen. Save the image to your computer.4) Go online and visit MyLiveSignature (http://www.mylivesignature.com/mls_sigdraw.php). Use the mouse to draw your signature on the screen. Click Create Signature, and download the image to your computer.
2. Go to Microsoft Word. Open the document that requires a signature, and move the cursor to where the signature should be located.
3. Go to the toolbar at the top of the screen. Click Insert. Select Picture from the pull down menu, and click on From File. Find the location where the image of your signature has been saved, and click Insert. Your signature should appear where the cursor is located.
