How to Draw a Line in Word 2007
1. Open a Microsoft Word 2007 document.
2. Click on the 'Insert' menu. In the 'Illustrations' group, click 'Shapes.'
3. Select the line you want to use from the options in the 'Lines' group. For a basic, straight line with no arrows, choose the first option ('Line').
4. Click where you want to start the line.
5. Drag your cursor to draw the line however long you want. Move your cursor to change the direction of the line. Press shift while you drag to constrain the line at varying 15-degree angles. Release your mouse to complete the line.
6. Click the line to select it. You'll see two green circles at both ends of the line. Click the 'Format' tab to make changes to the style, color and effects of the line.
