How to lengthen a paper in Microsoft Word

1. You'll lengthen your paper by enlarging the size of the periods. First, on the home tab, click editing on the right side of the tool bar. A drop down list will show up, click "find"
2. A small window will pop up. Click the "replace" tab.
3.
Two fields will pop up. The first "Find what" the second "replace what." Enter a period in both fields.
4.
Highlight the second period and click "more" in the bottom left of the window. The window will expand. Click "format" then "font" in the bottom left. Go to size and enlarge the period size 2 points. (e.g. from 12pt to 14pt)
5. Finally, click "replace all" near the middle of the window. It will tell you how many replacements it has made. The more replacements, the greater your paper will be lengthened. This small adjustment is nearly impossible to notice and will ease the stress of that last crucial page.
