How to Get Rid of the Microsoft Word Paragraph Symbol


From the Home Tab
1. Open Microsoft Word.
2. Click on the “Home” tab at the top of the window.
3. Click on the “Show/Hide” icon in the Paragraph section. This icon looks like a paragraph symbol. When you click the button, the paragraph symbols should disappear from your document.
From the Office Button
4. Select the "Office" button at the top left of the program and select "Word Options."
5. Click "Display."
6. Under the "Always Show These Formatting Marks on the Screen" section, remove checks from any of the boxes of formatting marks that you do not want to see.
