How to Unlock a Locked Word 2007 Document

1. Open the Microsoft Word 2007 file on your computer that you want to unlock.
2. Click the 'Review' tab from top ribbon menu of your document. Click 'Protect Document' from the 'Protect' group.
3. Click 'Restrict Formatting and Editing' and then click 'Stop Protection.'
4. Enter a password, if prompted. If you don't know the password you cannot unprotect the document.
5. Click 'OK' to return to your document.
