How to Delete All Headers Footers From a Word Document

1. Open Microsoft Word.
2. Open the document on which you want to delete all headers and footers. You can do this by selecting “File” and then “Open” from the menu. Double-click on the document to open it.
3. Select “Header and Footer” from the “View” menu. This opens headers and footers so you can edit or delete them.
4. Position the pointer over a header or footer and left click the mouse button. This positions the cursor in the selected header or footer.
5. Select the text and any other objects in the header or footer and press “Delete.”
6. Continue to position the cursor in headers and footers, selecting text and pressing “Delete” until all of the headers and footers are deleted. You may select “Show Previous” and “Show Next” to check for different footers and headers in different sections of the document. You must delete them separately.
7. After you've deleted all the headers and footers, select “Close Header and Footer” to return to the normal document editing view.
