How to Import Wave Into Word Office
Use the Object Menu
1. Open Word and the document you want to add sound to. Move your cursor to where you want the sound to be inserted in the document.
2. Click on the 'File' tab, and then click on the 'Object' drop-down menu. In the 'Object' dialog box, click on the 'Create New' tab. Click 'Wave Sound' in the 'Object Type' field. Click 'OK.' In the 'Sound Object' dialog box, click 'Edit' and then click 'Insert File.' Navigate to where you have sounds located and select the sound to insert into your document.
3. Click 'Open' or double-click the file name to insert a WAV file in your document. A sound icon appears in your document. You can check the file by clicking on the 'Play' button in the 'Sound' dialog box or by double-clicking the sound icon in your document. The sound dialog box remains on the screen. Close it by clicking on the 'Close' button (the red X in the upper, right corner).
Use the Clip Art Organizer
4. Start Word and open the document to insert sound in. Move your cursor to where the sound should appear. Click on the 'Insert' tab and then click 'Clip Art' to bring up the 'Clip Art' task pane.
5. Click the 'Results Should Be' drop-down menu in the task pane. To search for sounds only, click the 'Sounds' check-box. Click the 'Clip Art,' 'Movies' and 'Photographs' check-boxes to clear them. Click 'Go' and sound thumbnails appear in the main field in the task pane.
6. Add a WAV sound to your document by clicking on it. Play the sound by double-clicking the 'File Name Link' in your document.
