How to Insert the Formula Field in MS Word to Calculate a Date
1. Place your cursor on the page where you want Word to calculate the date.
2. Go to the "Insert" menu and select "Field" in Word 2003. In Word 2007 or Word 2010, go to the "Insert" tab, click "Quick Parts" in the "Text" group and select "Field." The Field dialog box will open.
3. Select "Date" in the Field Names box.
4. Choose a format in the "Date Formats" box. Select the "Preserve Formatting During Updates" check box.
5. Click "OK" to insert the date form field onto the document. Press "Alt" and "F9" to toggle between the form field and the date text in the Word document.
