How do I Encode MS Word?
1. Open the Microsoft Word file on your computer, then open the file you want to encode text for. Click on the “Microsoft Office” button if you’re using Word 2007. Click on the “File” option for Word 2003.
2. Click on the “Word Options” option. Click on the “Advanced” option for Word 2007. Click on the “Options” button for Word 2003.
3. Click on the “General” tab, then click on the box next to the “Confirm file format conversion on open” field so that it’s selected.
4. Close the application and reopen your file. The Convert File dialog box will appear on your screen.
5. Click on the “Encoded Text” option. The File Conversion dialog box will appear. Click on the “Other encoding” option, then select the encoding standard you want from the list.
6. Click on the “OK” button to close out of the dialog box. Your text will be fully encoded in your document.
