How to Single Space in Microsoft Word 2007

1. Open a Word 2007 document.
2. Choose the "Home" button at the top of the program. Notice that the Ribbon, the strip of buttons and options above the document, changes.
3. Highlight the text that you wish to change to single spacing. You can click and drag to select individual portions of the document or you can select all text by pressing "CTRL+A."
4. Click the spacing button in the "Paragraph" section of the Ribbon. A drop-down menu with line spacing options appears.
5. Choose "1.0" to set the line spacing to single-space for your selected text.
