How to Open Word Perfect Files

Opening in Microsoft Word
1. Open Microsoft Word by first finding the program in your Start menu. The program should be located in the All Programs section. Click on it once you find it.
2. Click the “File” tab at the top of the window. A list of options will drop down.
3. Click on the option “Open.” This will enable a small window to open for you to browse for the file you wish to open.
4. Locate the file. If you do not see it listed in the window in the folder you saved it in, look at the small drop down menu within the window titled “Files of Type.”
5. Click on the arrow facing down in the “Files of Type” menu and select the option “All Files.” This should enable you to see all files, including Word Perfect files.
6. Double click on the file. Your file should now be displayed within Microsoft Word.

7. Find the Word Perfect program located in your Start menu under the All Programs section. Click on it.
8. Click on the “File” tab at the top of the window once the program opens. A dropdown menu will appear with several options.
9. Click on “Open.” A browsing window will appear for you to locate the Word Perfect files you want to open.
10. Find the file you wish to open. Once you find it, double click it. Your document should then be displayed in the program.
