How to Type on a Picture in Microsoft Word


Picture Tools
1. Open Microsoft Word. Click 'Insert,' then 'Picture' and import a picture into your document.
2. Adjust your picture style with the Picture Tools toolbar as needed. Click 'Corrections' to change brightness and contrast; click 'Color' to change the color; click 'Artistic Effects' to add blur, tiling or other effects; click 'Picture Effects' to add beveling, glow or 3D effects to the picture.
3. Click 'Wrap Text.' Select 'Behind Text.' All text in the document will overlay the graphic. To move the picture or make further adjustments, click the picture and use the toolbar menus.

4. Open Word. Click 'Insert.' Click 'Picture' and select a picture to place in the document.
5. Modify the picture as needed with the Picture Tools toolbar. You can also resize the picture with the sizing handles on the sides and corner of the graphic.
6. Click 'Insert,' then 'Text Box.' Click a text box style. Drag the text box over the picture and place it where you want the text. Click 'Shape Fill' and select 'No Fill.' Click 'Shape Outline' and select 'No Outline.' Enter your text in the text box.
