How to Change the Language Setting on a Microsoft Word Processor
Changing the Typeface
1. Click "Start," then "Control Panel." Double-click "Regional and Language Settings." Click the "Keyboards and Languages" tab.
2. Click the "Change Keyboards" button. In the "General" tab, click "Add."
3. Scroll through the list of languages until you find the language you want to type in. Click the plus sign next to the language, then check the box next to the appropriate keyboard.
4. Click "OK" to add the new keyboard. Click "OK" to close the "Text Services and Input Languages" window. Click "OK" again.
5. Click "Start" and "All Programs," then "Microsoft Office." Click "Microsoft Word."
6. Select the language bar, located on the taskbar. If your default language is English, the button will read as "EN."
7. From the language bar, select the language you want to type in.
Changing the Language
8. Click "Start" and "All Programs," then click "Microsoft Office." Click "Microsoft Office Tools," then "Microsoft Office Language Settings."
9. Click the drop-down menu, located in the "Primary editing language" section. Select from the list of languages your preferred display language.
10. Click "OK" and restart the Microsoft Word application for the changes to take effect.
