How to Open Word 2007 Docs in Word 2000

1. Download and install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack to your computer.
2. Launch 'Word 2000.'
3. Click the 'File' menu, and choose the 'Open' option. Use the 'Look In' drop-down field to locate the folder in which the Word 2007 file is saved. Highlight the DOCX file name, and click the 'Open' button. The Word 2007 DOCX file will open in Word 2007.
