How to Disable Alt


1. Open the Start menu and click 'Run.'
2. Type 'gpedit.msc' without quotes into the dialog box and press 'OK' to launch the Group Policy Object Editor tool.
3. Expand the 'User Configuration' and 'Administrative Templates' directories on the left side of the window.
4. Double-click 'Microsoft Word' in the list of applications that appears.
5. Highlight the entry labeled 'Disable Items in User Interface' and click the 'Custom' button.
6. Click 'Disable shortcut keys' and choose the 'Enabled' radio button.
7. Press the 'Show' button and then click 'Add' in the pop-up window that appears.
8. Enter '16' as the value to disable.
9. Press 'OK' twice to save the settings and disable the alt-click functionality in Microsoft Word.
