How to Change the Header or Footer Size in MS Word 2003
1. Go to the 'View' menu. Select 'Headers and Footers.'
2. Click inside of the header or footer that you want to change.
3. Look for the vertical ruler on the left side of the Word document. If you do not see it, go to the 'View' menu and select 'Ruler.'
4. Point to the bottom of the header margin or the top of the footer margin on the vertical ruler. The cursor will change to a double-headed arrow.
5. Left-click on the ruler. Drag the header margin up to make the header smaller or drag it down to make it larger. To change the size of the footer, drag the margin up to make it larger or down to make it smaller.
6. Double-click inside the body of the main document to close 'Header and Footer' view.
