How to Check Repair a Microsoft Word Program

Microsoft Word 2003
1. Launch the Microsoft Word 2003 application.
2. Click the 'Help' option from the top menu bar.
3. Choose 'Detect and Repair' from the drop down menu.
4. Place a check mark next to both options in the repair window, then click the 'Start' button to run a repair. This repair will scan and detect issues with the Microsoft Word installation and registry entries.
Microsoft Word 2007
5. Launch the Microsoft Word 2007 application.
6. Click the 'Help' option from the top menu bar.
7. Choose 'Office Diagnostics' from the drop down menu.
8. Click 'Continue,' then click 'Start Diagnostics.' The diagnostics tool will scan, detect and repair issues with the Microsoft Word installation and registry entries.
9. Click the 'Close' button when the diagnostic tool has finished.
