How to Make a Venn Diagram in Microsoft Word 2007

1. Open the Word file in which you want to insert a Venn diagram. Click the 'Insert' tab on the ribbon.
2. Click the 'SmartArt' button on the ribbon, in the Illustrations group, to pull up the SmartArt dialog box.
3. Click 'Relationship' on the left column of the SmartArt dialog box.
4. Scroll down the SmartArt menu, and click the 'Basic Venn' option, which displays a three-circle Venn diagram.
5. Click a circle, and type your text to label the circle. Repeat for each circle.
6. Move a circle by clicking a blank spot on the circle -- anywhere lacking text -- and then dragging it to the new location.
7. Use the tools on the Design tab on the ribbon to control the style and content of the Venn diagram, and use the tools on the Format tab to control the diagram's colors, sizes and other elements of visual appearance.
8. Return to the surrounding text by clicking anywhere on the page outside of the Venn diagram.
