How to Move Page or Section Breaks in Microsoft Word

1. Start Microsoft Word, and open an existing document that contains a page or section break that you would like to move to another spot within your Word document.
2. Change to 'Normal' view by choosing the 'View' menu and clicking on 'Normal.' In Normal view you will be able to view your page and section breaks as a single, thin dotted line for a page break and a double, dotted line for a section break.
3. Select the page or section break by clicking and dragging on top of the dotted lines. You will see that the first half of the page or section break appears highlighted when you have it selected.
4. Choose the 'Edit' menu and click on 'Cut' or use the keyboard shortcut of CTRL+X to cut the page or section break from where it currently is in your document.
5. Place your cursor in your document where you would like to move the page or section break.
6. Select the 'Edit' menu and click on 'Paste,' or use the keyboard shortcut of CTRL+V to paste the page or section break so it appears where you currently have your cursor in the document.
