How to Edit Word 2007 Document Themes

1. Open a new Word 2007 document by clicking on the 4-square icon on the top right-hand side of the screen.
2. Select the 'Page Layout' tab. Locate the 'Themes' section on the far-left side of the toolbar. The 'Office' theme is the default in Word 2007.
3. Click on the arrow under the larger box in the 'Themes' section. You then see a large letter 'A' and a small letter 'a' with a row of colors underneath. This opens a preview of available themes.
4. Choose a theme for the document.
5. Edit the colors by clicking on the color box in the 'Themes' section, the top box of three. Select 'Create New Colors' at the bottom of the list of colors. Click on the theme button you want to edit.
6. Use theme colors to select the color you wish to substitute.
7. Repeat the same steps to edit Word 2007 theme fonts.
