How to Apply Change Bars for Text Changes


1. Turn on Tracked Changes (Microsoft Office 2007). Open the document in which you want to apply change bars. Select the 'Review' tab at the top of the Microsoft Office screen. Select 'Track Changes,' then 'Track Changes' again from the menu options.
2. Apply the change bars. Place the cursor where you want to make changes. Make the changes. The change bars will automatically appear in the left margin.
3. Prevent change bars from showing in the final document (optional). Right-click the changed text. Select 'accept' or 'reject' changes. This action will remove the change bars.
