How to Draw a Line Across a Page in Open Office
1. Start the application Writer from the OpenOffice.org software.
2. Left click on the "Paint Brush" icon in the top tool bar. Holding the cursor over the icon will display the text "Show Draw Functions."
3. Left click on the icon in the bottom tool bar showing a single black line. Holding the cursor over the icon will display the text "Line."
4. Position the mouse over the document. Depress and hold the left mouse button.
5. Drag the mouse to the point where you desire the line to end and release the left button. The line will be created with blue squares at each end of the line.
6. Press the escape key to exit the line drawing mode and return to text editing mode.
