How to Propagate Labels
1. Start a new Word document and go to the 'Mailings' tab in the ribbon. Select 'Start Mail Merge' and 'Labels' from the 'Start Mail Merge' group.
2. Choose the type of labels you want to create in the 'Label Options' dialog box and click 'OK.'
3. Select 'Select Recipients' and 'Use Existing List' from the 'Mailings' tab. The 'Select Data Source' dialog box open.
4. Find and double-click the data source file containing the recipients who will receive the mailing.
5. Select 'Edit Recipients' from the 'Mailings' tab. Deselect any recipients you don't want the labels to go to in the 'Edit Recipients' dialog box. Then click 'OK.'
6. Select the 'Address Block' from the 'Mailings' tab under the 'Write & Insert Fields' group. The 'Insert Address Book' dialog box opens. Pick your preferred format and click 'OK.'
7. Click the 'Update Labels' button in the 'Mailings' tab to propagate the fields. (If you're running Word 2007 on a Table PC, see the 'Tip' section on fixing the propagate problem before proceeding).
8. Choose 'Finish and Merge' and 'Edit Individual Labels' from the 'Mailings' tab.
9. Select 'All' in the 'Merge to New Document' dialog box and click 'OK.'
