How To Type Scale Degrees In Microsoft Word
1. Place your cursor in the place on the document where you want the scale degree to appear.
2. Go to the inset menu and choose 'Object.'
3. Select 'Microsoft Equation' from the list of available options.
4. When the equation editor appears, type the number of the scale degree.
5. Click on the third symbol button from the left in the top row of the window ('Primes, dots, hats and other accents' in the tips box, if you roll your mouse over this selection). A palette of symbols will appear below the button when you click on it.
6. Click the hat symbol (caret/circumflex character).
7. Close the equation editor. The scale degree which you have made will now appear in your Word document.
