How to Install Fonts on Microsoft Word


1. Browse online font foundries to find fonts you want to install. See 'Resources' for a compiled list.
2. Download a font you like to your computer. You may need to unzip the file.
3. Right click the font. Click 'Install.' The font will be added to the 'Font' folder under 'Control Panel' (Windows Vista). Alternatively, drop and drag the font file into 'Fonts' in 'Control Panel' (Windows 7). Right click the folder, and click 'Install New Font.' Select the folder where your font files are located. Click 'Install.' Click 'Close.'
4. Open Microsoft Word. The newly-installed fonts will be available for use in the 'Fonts' menu.
