How to Change the Default Settings on MS Word 2007
1. Locate the'Properties' button for the Word 2007 setting you would like to modify. Generally, the 'Properties' button for Word 2007 default settings is located below each item on the Word 2007 ribbon. For example, if you would like to modify the default font, the 'Properties' button for the font setting is located on the far right of the word 'font' on the Word 2007 ribbon.
2. Click on the 'Properties' button and then scroll through the setting dialog box for the item selected to choose a setting you would prefer. For example, if you would like to change the default font type, the 'Font Setting' dialog box contains a list of all Word 2007-supported fonts; scroll through the box to choose your preferred font.
3. Choose your preferred Word 2007 setting, select the 'Set as default' button located at the bottom of the setting dialog box, and then select the 'OK' button to apply the customized setting. The new setting will now be the default setting for your Word 2007 software.
