How to Compress a Word Document
1. Open the Start menu and click 'Computer' to open Windows Explorer.
2. Navigate to the drive and directory holding your Word document.
3. Right-click the Word file, then click 'Send to,' followed by 'Compressed (zipped) folder.' A compressed file is made with the '.zip' extension in the folder as your Word file.
