How to Edit or Delete a Comment in a Microsoft Word Document
Microsoft Word 2007
1. Open the document in Microsoft Word.
2. Locate a comment in your document. These can be found where you have highlighted text in the body (usually pink) with a dashed line leading to the right margin. There will be a bubble the same color as the highlight.
3. To delete the comment: Click anywhere in the bubble. Click on the 'Review' menu, and then the 'Delete' button. You can also right-click on the Comment bubble and click 'Delete Comment.'
4. To edit the comment: Click anywhere inside the Comment bubble. You can then make your edits to the comment. You can format your comment text just like the text in the body of the document, or leave it with the default settings.
5. When you have finished your comment, click anywhere outside of the bubble to exit the comment. You can click on the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons in the Comments section of the Ribbon to jump from comment to comment.

6. Open the document in Microsoft Word.
7. Locate a comment in your document. These can be found where you have highlighted text in your body (the default color is pink) with a dashed line leading to the margin. There will be a bubble the same color as the highlight.
8. To delete the comment: Right-click on the comment bubble and click 'Delete Comment.' You can also click on the 'Delete Comment' button on the Review toolbar. It looks like a piece of paper with an 'X' on it.
9. To edit the comment: Click anywhere inside the comment bubble. You can then make your edits to the comment. You can format your comment text just like the text in the body of the document, or leave it with the default settings.
10. When you have finished your comment, click anywhere outside of the bubble to exit the comment. Use the 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons on the Review toolbar to jump from comment to comment.
