How to Open a WPS Document in Office XP

1. Right-click the WPS document and select 'Open With...' from the context menu.
2. Select 'Microsoft Works' from the list of available programs. The document will open in Microsoft Works.
3. Click the 'File' option on the top navigation bar.
4. Click the 'Save As...' option from the context menu.
5. Click the down-pointing arrow on the File Type drop-down box and select the 'Word 9-2003 (.doc)' option.
6. Click 'Save.' The document has now been converted for use in the Microsoft Office XP Word application.
7. Test by right-clicking on the file and selecting the 'Open With...'option. Next, select Microsoft Word from the context menu. If the file opens successfully in Word, and retains formatting, the conversion was successful.
