How to Convert Word 2007 to Older Version (.docx to .doc)

1. Open the .docx file.
2. Click 'File' and then click 'Save As.'
3. Click the down arrow at the far right of the Save As Type field and select 'Word 97-2003 Document.'
4. Click the 'Save' button to save the file in the .doc format.

5. Navigate your Internet browser to the Microsoft Download Center at Microsoft.com/download.
6. Type 'Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack' into the search bar and press 'Enter.'
7. Click the first option that says 'Tool' to the left of it.
8. Click the 'Download' button to download the software. Install the software after the download completes, and you will be able to open the .docx file.
