How to Save a Table as a Style in MS Word 2007


1. Open a Word 2007 document containing a table.
2. Click the 'Layout' tab under 'Table Tools.' Click 'Select' in the 'Table' group, then click 'Select Table.' This will highlight the whole table.
3. Click the 'Insert' tab. In the 'Tables' group, click 'Table.' Click 'Quick Tables,' then 'Save Selection to Quick Tables Gallery.' This will open the 'New Building Block' dialog box.
4. Enter a name for the table style in the 'Name' box. Select 'Tables' in the 'Gallery' list, then select a category for the style in the 'Category' list. Select 'Building Blocks' from the 'Save in' list. Under 'Options,' specify how you want to insert the table when you select the Quick Table. Click 'OK.'
5. Click the 'Table' button on the 'Insert' menu again. Click 'Quick Tables,' then select the table style you just saved to insert it in a document.
