How to Make a Cell Adjust to an Image in Word

1. Open a blank or existing document in Word.
2. Place your cursor where the table should appear. To create a table, click on 'Table,' 'Insert' and 'Table.'
3. Choose the number of rows and columns you want the table to have (under 'Table size'). Then change the 'AutoFit behavior' option to 'AutoFit to contents' and click 'OK.' A table will be added on your page.
4. Place your cursor in the cell where your image will go. To add an image, click on 'Insert,' 'Picture' and choose the location of the image---'From File,' 'Clipart' or 'From Scanner or Camera.'
5. Select the image you want and double-click it. The image will be placed within the cell.
6. Increase or reduce the picture's size by dragging on its handles with your mouse. The cell size will adjust to that of your image (as you change it).
7. Change the left and right margins of your Word document by clicking on 'File' and 'Page Setup.' In the 'Margins' tab, reduce the left and right margins, then press 'OK.'
