How to Update All Figure Numbers in Word
1. Open your Microsoft Word file.
2. Add or remove figures if necessary. You don't need to make any changes to a table of figures, as it will update automatically as necessary.
3. Press the 'CTRL' and 'a' keys simultaneously to highlight all of the text in your document.
4. Right-click with your mouse and then click on the 'Update Field' option, which will only update the figures in your document. You can also press the 'F9' key to update all figures at once.
5. Click on the 'File' option if you're using Word 2003 or on the 'Microsoft Office' button in Word 2007. Click 'Save' to save your changes.
