How to Convert Old XML File to Word 2007

1. Open Microsoft Word 2007 on your computer. Go to the computer's 'Start' menu, scroll to 'All Programs,' click the 'Microsoft Office' folder to open it and then click on the program name.
2. Click on the 'Open' folder on the Word toolbar. If the 'Open' folder is not showing on the toolbar, click the arrow to the right of the toolbar options and select 'Open' from the expanded menu.
3. Navigate to the folder where the XML file is stored on the hard drive in the 'Open' windows that comes up. If you do not see the file in the folder, make sure that 'All Word Documents' is selected in the drop-down box above the 'Open' button.
4. Click on the name of the XML file in the folder and click 'Open.' The XML Word file will open in the Microsoft Word window.
5. Click the 'Save As' button on the Word toolbar, which appears as a disc with a pencil. If the 'Save As' button is not available on the toolbar, click the arrow to the right of the tools again, select 'More Commands' select, choose 'All Commands' in in the 'Choose Commands from' box and scroll to 'Save As.' Click the 'Add' button and click 'OK.' The button will be added to the toolbar.
6. Type a name for the file and choose a location where you would like for the file to save. Choose 'Word Document (.docx)' in the 'Save as Type' box and click 'Save.' The file will be saved into the folder you selected as a Word 2007 file.
