How to Get the Toolbar Back on Microsoft Word

1. Click the 'Close Full Screen' button, if visible. Full Screen mode expands your Word document across most of the screen, thus hiding the toolbars in the process. Exiting Full Screen mode is sometimes all it takes to restore your toolbars. If this does not solve the problem, or if you are not in Full Screen mode, continue to Step 2.
2. Select the 'View' tab at the far right side of the Word 2010 ribbon. Select 'Toolbars.' Click on all of the toolbars that you wish to activate. The toolbars should appear as soon as they are selected.
3. Exit and relaunch Word. Your menu setting changes from Step 2 are saved.
