How to Make Word 2007 Open Faster


1. Open Microsoft Word 2007. Click on the office button in the upper-left corner and select 'Word Options.'
2. Click on 'Advanced' to open the settings menu. Scroll down to the bottom section.
3. Click on the box next to 'Update Automatic Links at Open' to remove the check mark. Click on 'Ok.'
4. Click 'Add Ins' on the left sidebar to display currently installed add ins. Examine the add ins beneath 'Active.'
5. Select the add in you want to disable. Read the description next to the add in to make sure it is not something you want to use. Click 'Go.'
6. Press 'Remove' to disable the add in. Close Word 2007 and restart it. You should notice that the word processor opens faster.
