How to Work With Placeholders in Word 2007
1. Mark the images in your Word 2007 document with placeholders when you want to focus strictly on text or you need to speed up navigation in an image-heavy document. Go to the "Start" button, select "Word Options" from the menu and click the "Advanced" tab.
2. Scroll down to "Show Document Content" and put a check in the box next to the "Show Picture Placeholders" option. This will hide the images in your document but leave placeholders to maintain your document's layout.
3. Click "OK" to return to your document. Make any changes to text you need to make, then return to the Word options to uncheck the placeholders box. This will make the images in your Word document visible for printing.
