How to Access a Microsoft Word Trial Without a Product Key

1. Download and install the trial version of Microsoft Office Word (see Resources).
2. Click the “Microsoft Office” folder from the Windows Start menu.
3. Click the “Microsoft Word” link. The Microsoft Word application will launch. The Product Key entry page will open. A message will appear indicating that you are not required to enter a product key at this time, but entering the key is recommended.
4. Click “Continue.” A dialog box will open with a message about how many trial uses are remaining on the trial license. Again, you are asked if you wish to enter the product key.
5. Click “No.” The dialog box and the Product Key page will disappear and you will have full access to the Microsoft Word application.
