How to Print Place Cards in Word

1. Open Microsoft Word. Click the 'File' tab at the top of the screen. Select 'New.'
2. Type 'place cards' into the text box in the top right of the 'Available Templates' screen. Click the arrow button.
3. Scroll through the place card templates and double-click a design. A page of the place cards opens in a new Word window.
4. Click into each place card and type over the placeholder names with ones from the guest list. (Optional: Add a table or seat number by pressing the 'Enter' key after the name and typing the information.)
5. Highlight the name and optional seat information. Click the 'Home' tab at the top of the screen. Change the place card text's appearance by clicking options in the 'Font' section of the toolbar/ribbon, such as giving the name a new color and increasing its size.
6. Turn on the printer and load in the place card paper. Take care not to jam or overload the print tray; place card paper is thicker than standard copy paper.
7. Click the 'File' tab and select 'Print.' Click up the 'Copies' box to the number of sheets of place cards to print or leave the default at '1.' Click the 'Print' button to print the place cards.
