How to Copy Styles From One Word Document to Another
1. Click 'Start,' 'All Programs' and 'Microsoft Word,' if using Windows, to open Word if it is not already open.Click on your Mac's hard disk drive icon, 'Applications,' 'Microsoft Office' and then 'Microsoft Word,' to open Word on a Mac.
2. Click 'File' and 'Open.' Navigate to and click on the document you want to place styles into. This is the destination document.
3. Click 'Tools' and 'Templates and Add-Ins.' Click 'Organizer.' Click on the 'Styles' tab.
4. Click 'Close File.' Your destination document will close. Click 'Open File' and navigate to and click on the Word document you want to copy its style from. This is the original document containing the styles you want to copy.
5. Select the style items you want to copy from the style listing. Click 'Copy' to confirm your selection.
6. Click 'Yes' or 'Yes to All' if prompted to overwrite existing styles. Click 'Close' when prompted after the style copying process is complete.
