How to Change Footers in Word 2007 on Each Page


Change All Footers
1. Select the "Insert" tab to view insert options in the Ribbon.
2. Click the "Footer" button.
3. Select "Edit Footer" from the resulting drop-down menu. You can also select one of Word 2007's preloaded footer templates here.
4. Make any necessary changes to the footer, then click the "Close Header and Footer" button in the top right corner of the Ribbon to exit header and footer view.
Change Footers on Different Pages
5. Position your cursor on the page just before the page whose footer you want to change.
6. Select the "Page Layout" tab to open a group of formatting and layout options in the Ribbon.
7. Click the "Breaks" button on the Ribbon, then choose "Next Page" under "Section Breaks.
8. Click on the page after which you just made the section break.
9. Insert a footer, if you haven't already, by following the instructions in Section 1. If there is already a footer, double-click in the footer area to make it editable.
10. Click to remove the check from the box labeled "Link to Previous," located in the Header & Footer Tools Design toolbar.
11. Modify the footer as you like, then click "Close Header and Footer" in the top right corner of the Ribbon.
12. Repeat these steps to change the footer on subsequent pages.
