How to Find APA Style in MS Word 2003

1. Confirm that your computer is connected to the Internet (this is because you will need to reference Microsoft's Online template service from the program).
2. Click "File" then "New" on the Microsoft Word main menu. A template search pane will appear on the side of the screen.
3. Select "Templates on Office Online" from the list of options. Perform a search for the term "APA" in the Microsoft Office online database. You will see a variety of APA style templates from which to choose.
4. Click a template to open it in your program (this might take a few moments). A new document will appear in APA style, including a cover page, one-inch margins, 12 point Times New Roman font (or similar), double-spacing, page numbers, and proper headers. Start typing your paper in the APA template as you would normally.
