How to Convert Microsoft Word 2007 to 2000

Converting with Microsoft Word 2007
1. Double click on your .docx file.
2. Click the Windows logo at the top-left-hand side of the screen after Word 2007 opens.
3. Scroll to 'Save As,' then select 'Word 97-2003 Document.'
4. Change the file name, if necessary, then click the 'Save' button.
Converting with Microsoft Word 2003, Word XP or Microsoft Word 2000
5. Upgrade your version of Microsoft Word as necessary. Visit the 'How to Open and Save Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Powerpoint 2007 files in earlier versions of Office programs' link in the References section for more information. You will need to add a Compatibility Pack.
6. Double click on the .docx file that you wish to convert.
7. Click 'File' on the top-left-hand side of your screen.
8. Select 'Save As' from the menu.
9. Change the file type to 'Word 97-2003 (.doc)' and click the 'Save' button.
