How to Make WordPad Compatible With Microsoft Word
1. Click the “Start” button and type “WordPad” into the search box. Select “WordPad” from the results to open the program.
2. Create your document in WordPad. If you have already created a document and want to convert it to a Word document, select “Open” from the WordPad menu button, click on your file and click “Open.”
3. Save your document as a “.docx” to convert it into a Word document. Select “Save As” from the WordPad menu button.
4. Type a name for your document into the “File Name” box. Select “Microsoft Word 2007-2010 (.docx)” from the “Format” list and click “Save.”
